This is a very easy cartridge to refill. There is a small vent hole on the top of the cartridge cap. The kit includes a small tool to enlarge that hole so that you can refill the cartridge. You must take your time enlarging the hole so that you don't break the tool in the process. You will have great results with these refill kits if you follow these 3 simple rules: 1. Take your time. Don't get in a big hurry. 2. Don't overfill your cartridge. These kits are designed to make you slowly refill the cartridge. 3. Take the cartridge straight out of the printer and refill it at that time. The cartridge will dry out quickly if left out of the printer. If the cartridge dries out you will not be able to refill it successfully. The refill kit is designed to work with Dell 720, A920, A940, A960, J740, and X0504.
