(More customer reviews)There are few things in life as frustrating as having a critical piece of equipment stop working just when you need it most - and of course that's always when it does stop working!If reliability is more important to you than saving every penny, but you're still value conscious, the AmazonBasics supplies are a good match for your needs.They offer a quality, reliable product that you can count on to fit your equipment, with some savings over buying supplies from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).AmazonBasics are a great option that fill a gap between going cheap and paying top price.

On the low end, you can save quite a bit if you're willing to mess around with cheap replacement supplies.I'm kind of cheap, but have realized that's just not worth the trouble and stress for me.But, clearly those offer value for lots of people.

Amazon describes this line pretty well, as "a value alternative to the name brand," - it's not trying to be the cheapest product out there, but rather offer better value than OEM products.Whether the value is there for your needs - that's for you to decide.A little shopping around suggests that Brother OEM supplies can be had for not a huge amount more than the current (June 2010) price of this.So it may be worth a quick web search to see how the options stack up at the time you are buying.

The fact that I can get this with the good customer service of Amazon and quick delivery adds to the value for me.And, a 1 year warranty really adds value when Amazon stands behind it.I can count on getting my money's worth.So again, don't compare this to the cheapest replacements out there.

BTW, I really like my Brother networked MFC - the design, initial cost, and ongoing costs make it maybe the best SOHO printer and office machine I've ever come across.
